unjustbelgium.be will soon reveal a series of serious cases of administrative injustice in Belgium.

The publication will be based on a real, ongoing situation in which multiple legal obligations are not being met by the involved government services Immigration Office (DVZ) and the Brussels Administrative Center BruCity.

When the government itself does not follow its legal obligations, a situation arises in which citizens risk not only losing their rights but also their trust in the rule of law.

What a Belgian-Brazilian family living in 1000 Brussels since 2021 had to endure, despite acting completely in accordance with the law, has had particularly painful and drastically impactful consequences.

They have decided to come forward soon after formally notifying both involved government services of their default on February 27, 2026, to which no response has been given to date.

The website will document these events through timelines, official documents, and legal analysis.

The goal will be to create transparency and make structural shortcomings within Belgian administrations visible, without targeting individual employees.

Additionally, it will unjustbelgium.be to give a clear signal to everyone who finds themselves or will find themselves in a similar situation: it will not be too late to rectify their file.

Belgian law will continue to provide effective means — including a formal notice of default — to correct administrative errors, in certain cases even with retroactive effect, and to enforce a lawful decision.

This future publication will serve as a call for responsibility, diligence, and respect for the rule of law, so that such situations can no longer arise in the future.
